Well it's Monday and our hours at work have changed from 430am-1pm to 6am-230pm. We never asked to have them changed, but we are resigned to it as it's still not a bad shift to work. Then too, we have an opportunity to move into an office position and rocking the boat right now just might pull the plug on that. So...we will leave that battle alone in the hope of snagging the much desired promotion!
It's snowing furiously here in our neck of the woods and we find ourselves having a severe ren-faire withdrawal. It's time for a LOTR marathon methinks. Maybe an entire weekend of comfy clothes, movies, & good food.
We do have an author that we just can't get enough of right now. Alison Weir. Just finished her book about the Lady Jane Grey. Very engaging. We have started a collection of her works and Antonia Fraser. Well written books.
Delightful! My niece & I had so much fun today! ORF was everything that it should be in a renfaire...the wonderful smells of the turkey leggs and bread bowls, not to mention the funnel cakes, the shouts of the knights jousting and the sound of the cannons from the pirate ship.
It's a wonderful way to spend a fall day before winter sets in. It was hot again this year, some cooler temperatures would've made it perfect BUT we are content.
And so another season closes for us, but we do look forward to the spring and perhaps the chance to get down to North Carolina for their renfaire to kick off next season!
Unfortunately, I have only two pics to post from our trip. We were so preoccupied with the sights, we forgot about the camera. Tricia the Happy Hairbaider was there again this year and did another fabulous job with our hair. So those are the only pics I have to post.

First...we'd like to express our thanks to those who responded to our tirade. There was plenty of good, sound counsel and good people to listen. We do appreciate it. There was some hard advice as well BUT very truthful. We do take responsibliity for not using the word "no". I should have and so the consequences are mine to bear & without further complaint. We are quite chastened.
To that end, we have managed to express our displeasure to our sister, and have remedied the situation by informing her that we are moving out at the end of October. Some "tough love" as one good friend in this shire put it, we think is what's needed so that we are no longer a doormat. And even though it's not the "NO" that should have been applied to begin with, a "NO LONGER" can be effective in its own way as well.
Thank you again my friends for listening & for the early B-Day wishes,
